Afterword by Dan Sullivan

Resiliently share this:

Back to index … I am writing this as explanation of my motives in this endeavor … Normally an “afterword” is written by someone that isn’t the author, and it is generally reserved for works of fiction. This is not a work of fiction, but rather an expression of hope – a desire to live in a free world. Since I am technically the co-author of this document, I am writing this to provide some explanation – some sense of “where Dan is coming from”. Firstly, you should know that I am a recent formal convert to anarchism – I’ve

Afterword by Jim Davidson

Resiliently share this:

Back to index … The document you are reading was a joint effort by Dan and myself, and it is not a finished work. Our purpose is not to tell you what to do, but to suggest to you what may be possible. We are not interested in making demands, giving orders, or insisting that you do things our way. Rather, we are wanting you to set forth on your own, equipped with the information here, figure out where we went wrong, and, preferably, tell us what is missing, what works well, and what is really just terrible. Conclusions

Resiliently share this:

Back to index … “The best compliment to a child or a friend is the feeling you give him that he has been set free to make his own inquiries, to come to conclusions that are right for him, whether or not they coincide with your own.” ~ Alistair Cooke This document is more than a business plan, or heavy white paper. This document, if we are successful, is never “written” – if we are successful, it will be edited, amended, rewritten, and the number of contributers will expand. If we are successful, and we believe we will be, this

My anarchy (continued) …

Resiliently share this:

Several months ago, just after I abandoned the Libertarian Party, I began thinking about my own anarchism – what it meant to me, the decision. Here is a link to that article (as PDF) … I don’t want to reiterate too much of that, but to simply give you an update, of sorts. I have been, since the end of 2016 and until quite recently, in a very dark place regarding the “human condition” and freedom. In many ways, choosing to recognize that I was an anarchist, that I was free – no matter what the state might want to

Our adventure thus far, on “Freedom Fest” …

Resiliently share this:

The trip thus far has been very rewarding … On Wednesday, we were able to get to Colorado Springs and link up with Mike and Lauren “Hostile”. The Thursday leg of our trip was a lot of driving, through ancient native american burial grounds and passed the famous “Fort Courage” which got in on that “sweet F-Troop money” back in the 1970’s. Friday we were at the Paris Casino/Hotel, meeting folks in the liberty/freedom movement. We spent some time talking with several exhibitors, including Anthem Blanchard of Anthem Gold. Saturday morning we woke up to have an early meeting with

Welcome to Resilient Ways …

Resiliently share this:

We build communities, including online communities.  Our speciality is resiliency, and we’re glad you stopped by. The founders of Resilient Ways Foundation are Jim Davidson and Daniel Sullivan, and we’re very happy you’re here.  We’re working on a prototype resilient community in Ohio, we have plans to add at least one more in another location, and the entire project is open source.  Our goal is to help others find freedom by building their own communities, everywhere. Please stay tuned as we begin right here building a community for people seeking to build communities.  We have begun posting a few bits
